MONTCLAIR SEPAC Meeting – June 15, 2017.

Hello SEPAC Community,

Our final meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, June 15th at 7:30pm.

Location to be decided.

We are happy to share that Interim Superintendent Barbara Pinsak will be joining us.

Also on the agenda will be general SEPAC business, including setting our priorities for the 2017-2018 school year.

Bloomfield SEPAC Meeting – May 17, 2017, at The Early Childhood Center at Forest Glen School.

Our next Bloomfield SEPAC Meeting is set for Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at The Early Childhood Center at Forest Glen School from 7 – 9 P.M.

Our special guest will be Dr. Ellen Platt, a renowned Child Psychiatrist who will speak about such topics as helping Parents to deal with Anxiety and School Avoidance with Pre-School through  Elementary School Students. She will also hold a Question & Answer Session for our Parents

Dr. Platt held a very informative Forum for parents of our school Teens in January and she has graciously agreed to return to do the same for the parents of our younger age students at our May 17th Meeting.

The Early Childhood center at Forest Glen is located at 280 Davey Street, Bloomfield, N.J.  Davey Street is off Belleville Avenue, in Bloomfield.  After you turn onto Davey Street, just follow the winding road to the end and you will be in the School Parking Lot.

All are welcome. Please bring a friend and a question or two that you would like the Doctor to address.

Dr. Ellen Platt will be joining us both evenings to talk about these concerns for all age groups. Bring your concerns, bring your questions and let’s talk! The agenda isn’t pre-planned, but will take the course the parents need!

Dr. Ellen M. Platt is a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist practicing in Cedar Grove, NJ. Dr. Platt consults with many school districts in addition to her private practice. She also provides workshops focusing on Child and Adolescent problems from a clinical perspective as they relate to everyday life stresses.

Bloomfield SEPAC Meeting 11/16 at Oakview School. Special Start Time 6 P.M.

The next Bloomfield SEPAC Meeting will be Nov.16, 2016 at 6 P.M. at Oakview Elementary School; ;ocated at 150 Garrabrant Ave, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY TIME of 6 P.M. – 8 P.M.

This Meeting will consist specifically of an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis for Autism) Workshop for Parents of students with Autism. There will be methods, ideas and information on how to carry over ABA Methods at your home; using some of the ABA techniques your child is familiar with and receives in school.
