From the good folks at Hinkle, Prior & Fischer, Attorneys at Law:
Special Olympics NJ Virtual Summer Games
Start on Friday, June 5
Here’s How to Join in the Fun…
As you may know, Hinkle Prior & Fischer is actively engaged in supporting the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey. Every year we look forward to seeing you at our booth in Olympic Village.
This year, the live Summer Games we have come to love will be replaced by a Virtual Summer Games. Click here to learn more: sonjsummergames.org.
There are lots of great opportunities to support the athletes of SONJ and be a part of the Virtual Summer Games.
The athletes have been preparing by conditioning and practicing at home. They are ready and excited to compete, please show your support by watching opening ceremonies, cheering on the athletes with a sign or poster and/or joining in the celebratory events. This fun, free event helps us build community and stay #JerseyStrong.
Here is how to be part of the fun:
1) Mark Your Calendar – On Friday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m., the Virtual Summer Games Opening Ceremony will debut on sonjsummergames.org. Don’t miss it.
2) Be a “Fan in the Stands” – Go to this link: https://sonjsummergames.org/volunteer-registration/ to learn about ways to be part of the Virtual Opening Ceremony Video. Scroll down to upload a poster, chalk drawing, picture or video of you and your friends with words of encouragement for the athletes.
3) Join us on Social Media – Share your photos and videos to the Virtual Summer Games Facebook Group, follow and tag our social media platforms using #SONJVolunteers, #GenuineJerseyPride.
4) Be part of the dance party following the opening ceremony on June 5:
This celebration of our community can help us stay #JerseyStrong, and bring everyone together at the same time we normally would be gathering for Opening Ceremonies of the Summer Games.
The 30-minute opening ceremony video will remain on sonjsummergames.org and posted to SONJ social media accounts following the debut.

From The Boggs Center:
“Information and Resources Related to COVID-19
Across the world, we are experiencing an unprecedented set of challenges as we all work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing and other protective measures. Having reliable, up to date information and resources to help us better understand COVID-19, necessary health and hygiene precautions, and strategies to maintain emotional well-being is important to us all.
The Boggs Center, as New Jersey’s federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and New Jersey’s Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program, has compiled a selection of resources from New Jersey and across the country that may be useful to the disability community across the state. “
