Autism New Jersey’s Transition Conference – Feb 25, 2019

Autism New Jersey’s Transition Conference will be held on Monday, February 25 at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel. It is focused exclusively on preparing teens across the autism spectrum to enter adulthood and the adult service system. Designed for parents and professionals supporting individuals aged 14 and older, all of the information and resources shared is scientifically validated and will address the unique needs of these students. Families, teachers, paraprofessionals, child study team members, related service providers, and administrators have all reported the benefits of this event. Bill Freeman, M.Ed. from the DOE Office of Special Education will present “Planning for a Successful Life After Graduation: Considerations for the IEP Team.” 60 exhibitors are expected, and additional workshop topics include:

•       Environmental Enrichment and Challenging Behaviors
•       Self-Regulation & Problem-Solving
•       Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services
•       Preparing for the Transition to Adult Day Services
