Autism, Epilepsy & Seizure

As many as one-third of individuals with Autism also have Epilepsy – Autism Family Services of New Jersey, POAC and the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey will be sponsoring an educational program that will be held at the Bleshman Regional Day School, 333 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus, NJ on Wednesday, November 16 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Georges Ghacibeh MD, Epileptologist and Director of Behavioral Health for the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group is actively participating in research in the areas of Autism and Epilepsy.  Dr. Ghacibeh will be talking about the co-existence of Autism and seizures as well as the types of seizures and basic first aid.  In addition there will be a panel presentation addressing the various aspects of caring for someone with Autism and Epilepsy.
